When I began Meet Me Outside at the beginning of August, I thought I was writing a series about grounding. I had been seeing the subject everywhere, everyone seemed to have an opinion about what grounding meant, and I wanted to explore what might exist beyond bare feet and grounding products.
Now that we have reached the end of the month, I realize the experience became much more personal than I expected. As I considered what I wanted to offer for this final week, I didn't feel like you needed another practice or another piece of information. I kept thinking about the person who has been experiencing all of it. You.
We spend so much of our lives searching for the thing we are missing. I know I have. Another piece of information, another teacher, another explanation, another way to understand what the body is trying to tell us. Learning has been an enormous part of my own life, and I don't ever see that changing. But I am beginning to understand that there are times when the next answer doesn't come from learning more. It comes from becoming present enough to recognize what is already there.
I have been reminded of this recently in my own life. Someone shared a few simple practices with me freely. There was no pressure attached to them and nothing was withheld until I purchased something. I tried them, and something shifted. They helped me recognize something within myself that I hadn't fully understood before, and because I experienced the value of what had been shared, I eventually found myself wanting to return, revisit the information, and explore the deeper support that person offered.
I wasn't convinced. I was ready.
That is what I hope Meet Me Outside has offered you.
I hope I have given you enough this month that you can simply take it and use it. I hope something we've explored has helped you become more aware of yourself and your relationship with the world around you. More than anything, I hope you've had an experience of your own, because your experience can tell you something that my words never could. If something didn't resonate, you can leave it behind. If something changed the way you feel, think, eat, sleep, breathe, or move through your day, perhaps that is worth becoming curious about.
We can learn everything there is to know about nutrition, minerals, circadian biology, digestion, oral health, Traditional Chinese Medicine, mitochondria, the nervous system, or any of the other subjects I love exploring. But eventually all of that information has to meet a living, breathing human being. You.
Your history, your environment, your rhythms, your relationships, your body, and your capacity to receive what life is offering you are uniquely yours. There is no protocol that can replace that relationship, and perhaps this is why the idea of receiving has stayed with me so strongly throughout this series. Receiving isn't passive. It requires a relationship between what is being offered and our ability to recognize it, accept it, transform it, and make use of it.
The more I thought about this final week, the more I realized that Meet Me Outside has brought me directly back to the foundation of Heal Teeth Naturally. That foundation is Rooted Replenishment.
I created the Rooted Replenishment framework because I could no longer look at teeth as though the answer began and ended in the mouth. I kept questioning why some bodies seem able to use what we give them while others remain depleted despite doing so many of the things they have been told are healthy. Adding more minerals isn't necessarily the same as mineralizing tissue, just as eating nourishing food isn't necessarily the same as receiving nourishment. Before we continually ask what else we can add, I believe we also have to consider the condition of the terrain being asked to receive it.
That became the progression at the heart of the guide:
Redox → Replenishment → Remineralization
Redox is the spark. Replenishment is the soil. Remineralization is the way minerals find their home.
The Rooted Replenishment Guide is the foundation of Heal Teeth Naturally because healing teeth naturally was never going to be only about teeth. The framework connects the mouth with the larger terrain and asks us to consider the conditions that make nourishment, repair, and remineralization possible. It isn't another prescription or an endless list of supplements and things to do. It is a path meant to be explored at your own pace while paying attention to the signals your own body gives you along the way.
Looking back over August, I can see why this series has felt so connected to that work. The question beneath so much of what we've explored has really been the same question at the heart of Rooted Replenishment:
What are the conditions that allow the body to receive what it needs and do what it already knows how to do?
And that is why I don't feel the need to offer you something new to practice for our final week. We've spent this month exploring, experiencing, and noticing together. For this last invitation, I would rather create the space for you to recognize what the experience has shown you about yourself. What stayed with you? What changed something within you? What have you continued because it feels supportive rather than because someone told you that you should? What is your body communicating that perhaps you are hearing a little more clearly now?
If what I've shared through Meet Me Outside gave you something useful, take it with you. Continue exploring it and allow your own experience to guide where you go from here.
And if you have reached the end of this month feeling the way I recently did, grateful for what you received and now genuinely curious to understand more, The Rooted Replenishment Guide is there when you are ready.
It is not the conclusion of Meet Me Outside.
It is the foundation beneath Heal Teeth Naturally and the deeper framework behind much of what I have been sharing with you all along.
When I started this series, I thought I was inviting you outside to explore grounding. At the end of it, I think the greater invitation was to create enough space between all the information, recommendations, responsibilities, and noise of everyday life to become more aware of the one person who actually knows what it feels like to live inside your body.
I invited you outside so you could hear yourself more clearly.
For this final week, I invite you to Meet Yourself.
What have you discovered about yourself and what do you want to carry with you from here?
