What Dr. Zach Bush Helped Me See

A foundation of the Cellular Remembrance Method

CELLULAR REMEMBRANCEHEALING FOUNDATIONS

I actually started writing this post back in April, but I never finished it.

Then Dr. Zach Bush appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, and within the first few minutes I remembered exactly why I wanted to write about him in the first place.

Every time I hear him speak, I find myself completely captivated. There are very few people whose words seem to organize thoughts I have carried for years but could never fully express. As he speaks, ideas that once felt intuitive suddenly have language, movement, and clarity. It feels less like learning something entirely new and more like recognizing something I have been sensing for years.

Joe Rogan made a comment during the interview that he sometimes feels like an antenna, receiving information from the people who sit across from him. I smiled when I heard that because it perfectly described my own experience listening to Dr. Bush. My attention sharpens. My curiosity expands. I usually finish one of his interviews with pages of notes because his conversations spark ideas that send me down entirely new paths of learning. They rarely leave me with more certainty. Instead, they leave me with more curiosity, and I have come to realize that curiosity has been one of my greatest teachers.

By the time I discovered his work, I had already spent years questioning what I was seeing in dentistry. Patients with nearly identical home care routines could have completely different outcomes. Some healed beautifully while others continued to struggle despite doing everything they had been told to do. I was seeing connections between oral health, nutrition, breathing, stress, emotions, and overall wellness that didn't fit neatly into the traditional explanations I had been taught.

I knew there was more to the story.

What I didn't yet have was a way of bringing those observations together.

That is what Dr. Bush helped me begin to see.

He has an extraordinary ability to connect subjects that are often studied separately. Whether he is speaking about the microbiome, mitochondria, light, soil, biodiversity, food, water, or the changing seasons of life, he presents them as parts of one living system rather than isolated pieces. Listening to him reminded me that the body cannot be fully understood by looking at individual parts. Everything is communicating, and everything is influencing everything else.

That perspective immediately resonated with me because it reflected what I had already been observing in the mouth.

The more I worked with patients, the less interested I became in finding one cause or one solution. I became much more interested in understanding the environment in which healing occurs. Every person's biology reflects their own history, relationships, stress, breathing patterns, sleep, mineral status, nutrition, microbial communities, and countless experiences that shape how their body responds.

There was never going to be a single answer that fit everyone.

That realization eventually changed the kinds of questions I asked. Instead of asking what protocol everyone should follow, I found myself wondering what this particular person needed at this particular moment. It reinforced my belief that timing matters, context matters, and healing is deeply individual.

That understanding naturally led me toward exploring energetic assessment and muscle testing as additional tools. Not because they replace biology or science, but because they encourage me to keep asking questions and to remain open to what the body may be communicating. Sometimes the most supportive intervention is not simply the one that looks best on paper, but the one the body is prepared to recognize and utilize during that season of life.

Another area that deeply influenced me was Dr. Bush's discussion of light and mitochondrial health. He helped me appreciate that health is about far more than consuming the right nutrients. The body also has to produce, receive, and utilize energy efficiently. Without that communication and energy, healing becomes much more difficult.

As I continued learning, I found myself exploring redox biology, mineral signaling, hydration, structured water, and the remarkable intelligence of the human body. None of these subjects felt disconnected. They simply became different ways of understanding the same conversation.

His perspective on the microbiome also reinforced many of my own observations. Rather than viewing bacteria as something to constantly fight, he described microbial communities as responsive ecosystems that reflect the environment in which they live. That resonated deeply with what I was already seeing in dentistry. The oral microbiome changes with breathing patterns, saliva quality, medications, stress, nutrition, hormones, and overall health. The bacteria themselves are only one part of a much larger story.

Perhaps the greatest gift Dr. Bush has given me, though, has very little to do with any individual topic he teaches. He has given me permission to remain curious.

In healthcare, there is often pressure to choose a side, defend a philosophy, or believe there is only one correct answer. Dr. Bush reminds me that real learning begins when we become willing to ask better questions. His work has encouraged me to look beyond dogma without abandoning science, to remain open without becoming naive, and to appreciate that our understanding of biology continues to evolve.

That curiosity has led me to study airway health, Traditional Chinese Medicine, homeopathy, facial analysis, EAV, mineral signaling, cellular communication, and many other disciplines that have influenced how I think today. I don't view them as competing philosophies. I see them as different perspectives that each contribute another piece to a much larger picture.

Over time, I also came to appreciate another theme that runs throughout his work. Biology is constantly responding to the information it receives. That information comes in many forms. It comes from the food we eat, the light we are exposed to, the quality of our water, the relationships we cultivate, the stress we carry, the microbes we live alongside, and the environment that surrounds us every day. None of these influences exist in isolation. They are continually interacting, shaping how the body adapts, communicates, and ultimately expresses health.

That way of thinking aligned beautifully with what I had already begun observing through the mouth. Teeth, saliva, soft tissues, facial structure, mineral patterns, and the oral microbiome all provide information. They are communicating something about what the body is experiencing and how it is adapting.

Those observations eventually became part of what I now call the Cellular Remembrance Method.

If I'm being honest, the Cellular Remembrance Method is still evolving. It has moved more slowly than I once imagined. Life has taken me in different directions over the past year, and much of what I have been learning has been finding its place before it has ever found its way onto paper.

I still believe in what it can become.

I still have notebooks filled with ideas, observations, diagrams, and connections that I hope to bring together one day. I don't know exactly what that will look like yet, and I have become comfortable with that. Some things need time to mature, and I have learned that forcing them rarely produces their best expression.

When the timing is right, I believe those pieces will come together in the way they are meant to.

Until then, I will keep learning. I will keep observing. I will keep asking better questions.

That may be the greatest gift Dr. Zach Bush has given me. Not a finished philosophy or a collection of answers, but the confidence to remain curious while the answers continue to unfold.
